September 2017 Update & Results

September started a little differently for Liza who headed off to ride at Burghley in the stallion parade!  She rode young dressage horse Cool Cornetto, son of successful showjumper Cornetto King, both owned by Gaynor Kingston.

Meanwhile, inspired by watching Burghley on the TV, Liza took several groups of children to Mendip Plains for some mini XC schooling. The popular childrens groups are running again this winter, so get in touch with Liza if you would like to know more!

Meanwhile Sarah Barden and Boris came 5th at Monmouth horse trials!

Regular client Joanna Hurd passed her BHS Stage 3  Care with Distinction following training with Liza, it was thoroughly deserved after a huge amount of effort put in!

Jonny and Alex then headed off to Stoneleigh Park for the BD National Championships bringing home some super results – with Jonny and Zak coming 6th in a super hot PSG class on over 70%, and Alex and Ruben scoring 67%! Folliwing this, Alex has been selected to ride at Exloo International in the Netherlands at the end of October!

We have also had an exciting new arrival to the yard, Zak’s little half brother Goomong Zindefel has arrived – a very handsome 4 year old stallion with a huge character!

In the run up to the TeamQuest Regional Championships next month, Collective Dreams and Collective Daydreams have been working hard in their lessons with Liza. We also had 2 afternoons of lessons and also test riding practice with Alex, which proved very helpful for the girls to learn just what the judge is looking for. If this sounds like something you would benefit from – give Alex a call!

Alex has been spending more time judging recently, including at the Summer Dressage Championships at Mendip Plains – as always there were plenty of super prizes on offer!

The team spent 2 days of filming our next batch of training videos and clips from the yard, with Mark from Equestrian Pro TV joining us, along with Jo Warrilow and Emily Plummer from Fox Red Media who assist with helping expand the business!

To finish the month, we had the exciting discovery that Liza passed her BHS Senior Coaching exam, completing her BHS I award, a top level coaching qualification!

The team are looking forward to October with the younger horses heading out to their first competitions as well as starting to prepare for Alex and Ruben’s trip abroad!
